Diversity: The spice of my life
My work is in the main project or programmed based. Some of the projects and programmes I am involved with are of my own making and in-line with my personal interests, some are joint ventures and as most entrepreneurs and business people, there is the work that I do for my clients.
In the course of my life, I have been blessed with the freedom to explore and develop a range of skills. Over the years I have worked for a range of companies; from multinational Blue Chip companies, to SME's and micro-businesses.
The primary services which I provide to clients are in the sphere of Business Development, web-design and graphic design. Very early in my working life I was trained in Project Management and Marketing. Over the past 8-years I have developed skills in public speaking and presenting.
I have for over 25-years designed, developed and delivered training and mentoring programmes in Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Resilience, for confidence building and leadership.
My interests are diverse and include:
Human Rights, Women's Rights and Social Justice
Politics and Economics
ACTIVE PROJECTS & PROGRAMMES
Kym Ciftic and I met through the Passionate Women's Group based in Southend, in late 2013. When I was invited to be a keynote speaker at the E.D.E.N. Conference in late March 2014, I thought it was time to hone and fine-tune my public speaking skills, so decided to undertake some training with Kym though her N.I.C.E. programme.
I was so impressed with the training that I received and the feedback I received following on to my Keynote presentation at the E.D.E.N. Conference that I bought into the N.I.C.E. programme. Kym and I are now working together to deliver N.I.C.E. training to others.
See our Facebook Page for more information about the training events we are delivering.
International Women's Day - PURPLE PARADE
On an annual basis since 2010, I have led and produced the International Women's Day Celebrations in Southend. The Celebration takes the form of a Parade, and Post-Parade event.
Through this event I raise fund for the SoS Domestic Abuse Project, a local charity which provides shelter and support to women and children escaping Domestic Violence and one international charity or community interest company. In 2015, the international charity the event will be supporting is Momo Biogas.
Funds are split as follows:
60% SoS Domestic Abuse Project
40% Momo Biogas, Africa.
For more information and to participate in the event see:
Art@ is one of my community based art-driven Business Development Programmes. The exhibition programme launched at The Utopia Coffee Lounge, The Royals, Southend-on-Sea in November 2011 and has expanded to include The Victoria Inn, Colchester in 2013.
Art@ provides local artists exhibition opportunities and the host business the opportunity to increase their local profile and foot-fall through the programme's Open View Events. It also provides the general public to view and purchase original artworks in a non-traditional setting.
Art@ also offers an Artists Management Programme to the artists and again provides opportunities for the artists to increase the sale of their work and securing new commissions.

Gary Heim Memorial Fund
Shortly after the sudden and unexpected passing of my husband of 30-years in January 2013, I set-up a memorial fund in his name - through this fund I host an annual awareness and fund raising event, where all proceeds go the The Circulation Foundation.
The tragedy of my husbands passing was caused by a mix of medical neglect, misdiagnosis and lack of appropriate information being passed by his doctors to my husband as a patient and us as a family.
The purpose of the annual event is to raise awareness for Vascular Disease and to promote the dietary and life-style changes, which had we have known, would have prevented my husband from experiencing Sudden Death Syndrome.
As a family we want to do all we can to prevent another family from having to go through the trauma and tragedy we experience when Gary died. See my events on Facebook for more information or make a donation through JustGiving
